As amazing as the hospital care was I was happy to head home with my little guy. Here are some pictures of Connor's new family visiting in the hospital.

Both Grandma's helped me come home from the hospital which was very sweet and fun. I was a little scared when they both walked out the door and it was still a few hours before Gary was off of work. Walking around the house was still a little hard and it was weird not to be able to move as easily as I had before becoming pregnant or even at 40 weeks pregnant. I was really wanting to be able to jump right on that treadmill, but my body was sore and tired and I learned why they tell you to wait 4-6 weeks (I only made it 3 1/2 before my first work out). Because of my slow moving body (literally felt like an old woman) the first night home was difficult because first of all my alert system of waking up to a crying baby was slow and it was hard to get up out of bed quickly and it was nice to have a little back rub to boost me out of bed:) so by the time I got to him he was pretty upset, by the next night I was jumping right to him and it seemed to be pretty easy. Connor has been a great sleeper and luckily never had his days and nights switched:) Connor was 4 days old on our first outings, we had a doctors appointment with a lactation specialist who was surprised when I thought my milk hadn't come in, but he had gained weight so she said it wasn't possible. So many people had warned me I'd be leaking everywhere I assumed it hadn't come in, but the little guy was such a great eater it had and I didn't notice! After the doctors we went to the Goddard School to visit my friends at work. It was a lot of fun to show him off and see my kids again. Later that night we went to cheerleading tryouts again a lot of fun to see my girls again and show him off. Needless to say he slept through everything and slept all night:)

Big feet just like Daddy
The thing I love most about Connor is he looks just like his Daddy. So even though Gary works forever every day (4am-6pm) I still have a little part of him at home. Gary absolutely adores Connor and I love watching the two of them together. As much as I wish Gary was able to take paternity leave I love my alone time with Connor and it makes their time together so much more special!
