Gary and I met when he transfered to my high school our Jr. year. We dated on and off for the next few years went to both Jr and Sr prom together and enjoyed the fast and excelerated three year college experience together at PSU in downtown Portland where we meet lots of fun friends and did things 20 year olds do. After graduation Gary invited me to the beach with his family July 13th, 2007 where he proposed on the beach with a bottle of champagne and beautiful roses:) After five months of being engaged it all felt overwhelming and too soon so we went our separate ways and didn't talk for about four months. It wasn't until March 2008 when I woke up one morning with a drunken text from him, he apologized saying he didn't even have my number any more and it must have been an old habit. The next weekend I returned him with the favor and we agreed to meet the next morning on a run. It's the best two phone calls we've ever made and I will never forget that run. The next four months were hard trying to put all the pieces back together including our families who were not happy with our decision to be talking again. It was during my summer trip to Mexico with my friends that I realized the person I wanted to be with and enjoy the beauties of the sunset and all the fun experiences of Mexico was Gary, which is funny because it was his trip to Mexico with his family the year before where he realized he wanted to spend the rest of his life and vacations with me and where he decided he wanted to propose. When I got back I couldn't wait to be with him again, and I finally got the urge to talk to his family (very scary!) and tell my family that that is what I wanted and I wanted their support. Once overcoming that hump everything seemed to be back to normal until I started to notice how great my boobs looked in all my outfits, Gary was positive I was pregnant and insisted I take a test, so I did and it was positive:) (Another scary but exciting feeling considering doctors had told Gary that wasn't possible) After over coming the obstacles of telling everyone it became fun and really exciting. I absolutely love my family my future in-laws and Gary and the little thing that was growing inside of me.
Here are some pictures of when we first met! Wow we were young!
First picture of us in the high school cafeteria:)
